Lukashenko: harvest good, problems in agriculture
President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko noted in his speech that despite a good harvest, the overall result of agriculture in the country significantly exceeded last year's figures. He emphasized that agricultural organizations operated at a pace of 102.7%. It was also noted that livestock production grew by 103% and food exports reached a record of 10 billion US dollars. However, Lukashenko pointed out that the 'falling exchange rate' and chronic debt of agricultural organizations create an unacceptable situation and undermine the final results.
Lukashenko emphasized that despite a good harvest, the state of agriculture remains unprofitable due to high debt, although food exports have increased to $10 billion.
