The Ministry of Energy of Belarus announced that enterprises under the Ministry of Energy have switched to an enhanced operating mode due to the current frost. The decision was made at today's emergency commission meeting and involves forming emergency response teams and activating diesel power stations to ensure continuous operation of the power system.
According to the ministry's statement, the situation is under constant control, and all services are prepared for challenging weather conditions. Rapid response protocols have been established, and specialists are checking backup power sources to prevent disruptions in electricity supply.
The Minister of Energy emphasized that neglecting preparation for winter extremes could lead to heavy loads and temporary outages, therefore reliable coverage of all key power grid sections is being ensured.
