Dmitry Zhuk points to Western mistakes

Dmitry Zhuk, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and chief editor of the publishing house "Belarus Segodnya", put forward a position on the West's motives, calling their goal to "seize and divide" Belarus. According to him, Western countries are striving to create an anti-Russia within the country, provoke a conflict, destroy Russia's ally within the Union State, seize its wealth, and lower the standard of living.

"The most annoying thing in this situation—or perhaps the funniest—is that these bad people regard us Belarusians as aquarium fish with no memory," Zhuk noted. He emphasized that, from the Western perspective, Belarus has been "reset" over the past six years, starting from 2020, forgetting what happened in 2010 and 2005, and compared this to an attempt at a "color revolution."

Zhuk's commentary was published in the project "KLUB REDAKTOROV" and is accompanied by the hashtag #KlubRedaktorov.
