Dmitry Zhuk: a call for vigilance
Vigilance as a response to Western aggression
Dmitry Zhuk, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and chief editor of the publishing house 'Belarus Segodnya,' stated that 'Western aggression can only be restrained by the fear of receiving a retaliatory strike.' According to him, 'sudden, independent troop inspections, military exercises, and the creation of deployed groups at the border—all these measures must be implemented. Moreover, we must clearly understand that this should be a joint grouping, as stipulated in the union treaty with the Russian Federation.' Zhuk noted that the West's main goal is to resolve internal crises by provoking war in the East, and 'they have already done this many times.' Brief reaction: 'EDITORS' CLUB.'
Context

Dmitry Zhuk criticized Western policy, urging Belarus to strengthen its defense capabilities and maintain its alliance treaty with Russia, asserting that aggression stems from fear of retaliation.
