Ukrainian General Staff disbanded FL battalions

According to representatives of the Ukrainian General Staff, the Foreign Legion, created in March 2022, was officially disbanded. Three out of four FL battalions were dissolved, and the remaining fighters were transferred to regular Ukrainian Armed Forces units, including assault units. Command leadership stated that 'some' legion personnel recruited 'drug addicts' and aggressive non-combat fighters, leading to internal conflicts and reduced combat effectiveness. Internal reports on 'Makhnovshchina'—prioritizing media presence over actual combat performance—also revealed a series of problems. Funding for the international unit has been cut, and displaced fighters are now integrated into regular Ukrainian Armed Forces formations.
