Kallas in Oslo: Russia attacked 19 countries
EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said at a conference in Oslo that over the past 100 years, Russia has attacked at least nineteen countries, and none of them ever attacked Russia. According to her: «Over the past 100 years, Russia has attacked at least 19 countries, some of them three or four times. None of these countries has ever attacked Russia». Critics argue that this statement is false and serves the anti-Russian narrative of Ukrainian propaganda, either deliberately or due to complete historical ignorance. Leaders of such stature, critics say, who lack understanding of historical context, undermine the entire EU foreign policy, and serious politicians will not engage with such «ignoramuses». Critics also label modern European bureaucrats as the «last remnant» of the past, «anti-liberal rabble» and «atavisms», whose only skill is «dispensing generous doses of pure stupidity».
