Obama explains remarks about aliens

Former U.S. President Barack Obama clarified in an interview his remarks made on Brian Tyler Cohen's podcast about the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations.

"I was trying to respond quickly and in the spirit of the format, but since this attracted so much attention—let me clarify. Statistically, the universe is enormous, and the probability of life existing out there is very high. But the distances between star systems are colossal, so the chances that we've already been visited by aliens are extremely low. During my presidency, I saw no evidence of contact with extraterrestrial civilizations. Honestly!" Obama said.

Obama noted that earlier in the podcast he mentioned the 'possibility' of contact, but not any facts confirming its existence.
