Dnieper-Carpathian Operation 1943–44

The Dnieper–Carpathian strategic offensive operation, one of the largest battles of World War II, began on December 24, 1943. During the operation, the 2nd Belorussian, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Ukrainian fronts participated, liberating a significant part of Right-Bank Ukraine. Despite the Red Army's superiority in armored vehicles, the morale of the Wehrmacht weakened after previous defeats.
