Found FAB-100 – a 100-kilogram explosive bomb from the 1940s
A 100-kilogram high-explosive aerial bomb FAB-100, dating back to the Great Patriotic War period, was discovered during street works in the center of Kaliningrad, Russia, TASS reports. According to a source, the bomb, covered with a layer of corrosion, has been stored for decades and has not yet been collected by defense forces. Witnesses said the find sparked genuine interest among historians and military equipment experts.
Law enforcement authorities confirmed that the object belongs to the category of hazardous materials and will be transported to a specially equipped facility for subsequent disposal. Authorities of the Kaliningrad region announced early in the morning the start of operations to ensure safety in the incident area.
