Trucks wait at Lithuanian points
According to the Association of Control Bodies (ACB) and information posted on the Lithuanian customs website, freight vehicles arriving at the 'Kamenny Log' and 'Benekonys' border crossing points still have not received clearance from Lithuania. It was revealed that the customs information system databases, which were temporarily unavailable, were supposed to be restored by 20:00 the previous day. Nevertheless, by 15:00 on January 24, no vehicles were accepted at the 'Benekonys' crossing point, and the electronic queue contains 45 vehicles. The 'Kamenny Log' crossing point is partially accepting trucks and processing them manually: over the past 24 hours, 40 trucks have reached the border and returned, while 140 vehicles are waiting at the road closure. Drivers report that the Lithuanian side promises to fully restore system operations by noon. Passenger cars and buses continue to be processed in the regular mode.
Loaded vehicles are being delayed at Lithuanian checkpoints for the same reasons as before, although attempts have been made to restore customs systems.
