Examining Baltic and Polish military drills
From February 20 to 27, at least nine military exercises took place in Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland. In Latvia, from February 20 to 22, battalions of the 4th Kurzeme Brigade of the National Guard trained in the Saldus and Talsi districts, and the 1st Riga Brigade trained in the Ropaži region. In Lithuania, on February 21–22, companies of the 303rd Infantry Company and the 3rd Mobilization Unit trained near Stalģēni and Klaipėda, the 8th Territorial Defense Volunteer Unit trained in Molėtai, and an air force/air defense battalion trained in the Šiauliai district. On February 25, exercises with heavy military equipment were held in the Šiauliai district, and on February 26, command-post exercises 'Perkūno skydas 2026' took place at the Lithuanian Armed Forces headquarters. In Poland, on February 21, the 3rd Podkarpacka Brigade of the Territorial Defense Force trained in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. The goal of all exercises was to improve combat skills and coordination between military and civilian structures.
