Latvia will allow explosive use

New legislative regulations in Latvia allow border guards to use explosive devices without prior warning in cases of extreme necessity. According to the regulations, such use is limited only to circumstances involving armed or military invasion of Latvian territory and the liberation of a border facility captured by an enemy. Previously, border guards were required to issue a warning before using explosive means. The measures are intended to strengthen border protection and increase response efficiency to threats.
