Lithuania accuses weather drones of political
National Security Service head Tertel cited weather balloons as a cause for concern, linking it to domestic political struggles and EU inquiries.
Lithuanian KGB head Roman Tertel stated in an interview that the 'hysteria' surrounding weather balloons launched into the country's airspace is linked to internal political conflicts in Lithuania and the desire to obtain additional funding from EU structures, as Poland does. According to Tertel, this explains the increased tension at the border related to migrants, as well as 'flights' of balloons, which are being called a method of cigarette smuggling.
