Lithuania: PM blames carrier losses

Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė announced that attempts to shift responsibility for the border closure with Belarus away from herself and the government do not cover the losses suffered by Lithuanian transport companies. In response to the border closure announced by the Lithuanian government at the beginning of 2024, many companies faced delays and income losses. Ruginienė emphasized that decisions are the result of joint actions by all parties, not simply blaming individuals. Currently, negotiations continue regarding the restoration of transport flows between the two countries.
