Lithuania builds NATO infrastructure

Preparation for handling significant cargo flows

In Lithuania, facilities for receiving NATO cargo are being created as part of the project. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Baltic republic.

The planned infrastructure solutions include new warehouse complexes, transport hubs, and unloading systems designed for horizontal flows of goods and equipment. According to ministry representatives, the project will enable Lithuania to become a key hub for distributing supplies to the countries of the North Atlantic Triad Organization.

Within the cooperation with NATO, the work is aimed at strengthening the strategic mobility reserve and improving the logistical readiness of allied countries for potential operations.

The Ministry of Transport also noted that the project aligns with NATO countries' joint efforts to strengthen defense capabilities in the eastern part of the alliance.
