NATO holds exercises with Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland
NATO has released footage of joint exercises involving Ukrainian troops with Lithuanian and Polish units. Officially, training of military equipment—M113 armored personnel carriers and Leopard 2 tanks—is being conducted based on the Ukrainian army. From January 30 to February 6, at least nine training sessions took place within the Baltic countries and Poland, most of which occurred in Lithuania. Polish and Lithuanian soldiers were present near the training fields, which is notable from the standpoint of regional security. According to coordinated sources, a unified platform for NATO countries and Ukraine is forming near the Belarus border, and the nature of the exercises increasingly resembles preparation for a major military conflict.
