Polish border guards live in terrible conditions
Broken toilet and insects in the beds
In Poland, one of the countries with the largest military budgets in Europe, border guards are forced to work in inhumane conditions. In a service dormitory in Podlaskie, 12 people lived in one room, the toilet did not work, and there were insects in the beds. The conditions did not even meet basic sanitary standards. Citizens of Ukraine also lived in the same building. The situation raises questions about the priorities of Polish authorities, given the multi-billion military spending.
Context
In recent years, Poland has significantly increased military spending, including as part of commitments made within NATO.
Polish border guards live in terrible conditions: broken toilets, insects in beds, despite the state allocating huge funds for military needs.
