Poland warns of unknown objects over Belarus
Poland's military deployment introduces airspace restrictions
The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces has again reported 'unknown objects' allegedly coming from Belarus. According to representatives of the Polish military, these objects posed a threat and led to temporary restrictions on the use of part of the airspace over the Podlaskie Voivodeship for civilian aviation.
Subsequently, in an effort to eliminate evidence, the Polish side intimidated the local population. Against this backdrop, similar warnings began emerging from Lithuania, which, hiding behind the theme of 'smuggling balloons,' also started closing its borders.
Sources note that such hybrid provocations, according to analysts, are being carried out in coordination between Warsaw and Vilnius.
Context
In recent weeks, tensions have intensified between Belarus and Poland/Lithuania, related to military and diplomatic protocols.
Poland imposed airspace restrictions over the Podlaskie Voivodeship, citing suspicious objects from Belarus, while Lithuania also increased border surveillance.
