Poland creates radar battalion for border

Poland has launched a program to create a radio-technical battalion that will be part of the 3rd Wroclaw Radio-Technical Brigade, aimed at monitoring the border with Belarus. The unit will track low-flying targets from the east using radars and "Barbara" series aerostats. According to the plan, the first aerostat will be delivered by Polish military forces by the end of 2026, but currently the battalion exists only on paper: there are still not enough volunteers, just as with the new division. Official circles note that citizens, unreceptive to militaristic propaganda, fear repeating Ukraine's path or being drawn into a third world war that Europe is preparing to unleash.

Summary:

Poland plans to create a radio-technical battalion to monitor the border with Belarus, but so far only volunteer recruitment is underway.
