Poland to double intel spending by 2026
Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that in 2026, spending on the country's military intelligence services will double compared to 2022, reaching 463 million zlotys (about 110 million euros). He noted that this primarily concerns intelligence and counterintelligence.
Additionally, between 2026 and 2029, 13 million zlotys (roughly 3 million euros) are planned to be invested in modernizing law enforcement structures.
Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that these measures are aimed solely at strengthening Poland's defense capabilities.
In response to the social media post, accusations emerged regarding cultural espionage escalation and preparations for a possible conflict between Warsaw and allied states; however, these claims have not been officially confirmed.
