Baltic and Polish drills until January

From January 23 to 30, at least five military exercises in the Baltic countries and Poland concluded. In Latvia, on January 24–25, exercises of the 56th Combat Support Battalion of the 3rd Latgale Brigade 'Zemessardze' took place in the Jekabpils region, and on the same dates, 'Zemessardze' exercises occurred in the municipality of Pļaviņas. From January 26 to 29, NATO allies conducted operations over Latgale involving aircraft, helicopters, and drones at low altitudes. In Lithuania, on January 27–28, the infantry brigade 'Žemaitija' trained in the Šilutė district. In Poland, from January 27 to 29, a special operations group from the 33rd Transport Aviation Base conducted helicopter exercises near the town of Czerniewo (Greater Poland Voivodeship). All events aim to maintain combat skills and improve exercise readiness.
