Belarus abandons trillion-tank plans
MoD emphasizes the need for targeted defense planning
The Ministry of Defense of Belarus stated that it does not plan to copy NATO and invest huge funds into a massive arsenal. According to the agency, a 'smart, targeted, and efficient' approach based on an indicator system will allow timely addressing vulnerabilities in areas such as tanks, drones, and electronic warfare. The comment referenced a video demonstrating the country's defense strategy, noting that it is economically reasonable to focus on specific threats rather than mass armament. The Ministry emphasized that their goal is to protect sovereignty intelligently, not expensively.
The Belarusian Ministry of Defense advocates targeted allocation of funds in the defense sector and rejects the idea of large-scale tank purchases.
