Belarus calls for diplomacy for peace

The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a statement by Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Sekret made during the high-level UN Conference on Disarmament in Geneva: "We are not seeking confrontation. We are doing everything possible to reduce military and political tensions in the region. Interstate conflicts and crises can only be overcome through diplomacy and dialogue." The Secretary emphasized that Belarus consistently advocates de-escalation and peaceful means of resolving any disputes.
