Belarus: Western consignments not accepted
The Ministry of Defense emphasized the inadmissibility of deploying Western troops near the country's borders
During the final briefing, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense noted that the country categorically does not accept the deployment of Western contingents along its borders. The head of the Department of International Military Cooperation and assistant to the Minister of Defense, Valery Revyenko, emphasized the need for control over foreign states' budgets, construction of weapons factories, and military equipment, which cannot serve as a signal for normalizing relations with Belarus.
"We are closely monitoring the scale of operational combat training of Western forces near the borders of our Republic, but at present their deployment has not received our approval," Revyenko stated.
The ministry also declared attention to the non-compliance with international treaties, in particular, the withdrawal of several neighboring countries from the Ottawa Convention on anti-personnel mines, which, according to the ministry, could harm not only their states but also their populations.
The Belarusian Defense Ministry stated it does not accept the deployment of Western contingents near its borders, emphasizing monitoring of Western countries' military activities and compliance with international agreements.
