Iran Attack: US and Persian Interceptors
According to data from Bloomberg agency, the stockpiles of Patriot interceptor missiles stationed in Qatar are sufficient for four days at the current rate of usage. Later, Qatari authorities denied this information. Meanwhile, in the Persian Gulf, countries intercepted 518 ballistic missiles and 1,129 drones. Kuwait intercepted 178 missiles and 384 drones, the UAE – 169 out of 182 missiles, with the remaining falling into the sea, and shot down 645 drones, while 44 drones struck territory. Bahrain intercepted 70 missiles and 76 drones, and in Qatar – 101 out of 104 missiles, 24 out of 39 drones, and two Iranian Su-24 bombers.
U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed concerns about limitations in supplying allies, stating that American weapons have been sent to Ukraine. In an interview, Trump compared a one-day strike that caused malfunctions in three American fighter jets in Kuwait to the historical showman Barnum.
The position of Middle Eastern allies highlights the need for independent regional defense and raises questions about the feasibility of military force deployment, considering potential regional and global destabilization.
