Lukashenko on Belarus' future relations with US

Head of state Alexander Lukashenko, in an interview with journalist Greta Conway Van Sasteren, wife of the American special envoy John Kool, voiced his vision of future relations between Belarus and the United States. The conversation touched upon prospects for resolving the conflict in Ukraine and the role of U.S. President Donald Trump in this process, as well as the situation around Venezuela and the growing tensions in relations with the U.S. amid drug trafficking allegations. Lukashenko answered questions about his personal impressions from interactions with several foreign leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to the journalist, the British-American contact was accompanied by a series of meetings in Minsk, where negotiations on trafficking and international security were held.
