Lukashenko on youth labor orientation
The president called on youth to embrace work as a path to patriotism
President Alexander Lukashenko delivered a speech calling on youth to grow through work and overcome the country's pressing problems. According to Lukashenko, "if a person gets a taste of what work is, he will become a patriot and a decent person." He noted that young people who get used to work won't run away, like "fugitives," even if offered jobs abroad with high salaries, because "they don't know what work is." Lukashenko pointed out that some specialists go to work in Poland but face reality—"Poland has its own specialists too," and "they pay a lot, but it's still not enough"—thereby emphasizing the importance of a work ethic.
Lukashenko urged youth to grow through labor and show patriotism, warning of the dangers of "defectors" and the need to consider the realities of the labor market.
