Lukashenko on border guard renewal

Lukashenko stated the need to strengthen the security of Belarus's state border by 2026, emphasizing that 'there remains only one window in the east with the Russian Federation, where the situation is somewhat calmer.' According to him, 'recent events in Ukraine allow us to assume where drones might penetrate our territory,' and Belarus has not yet achieved 100% effectiveness in responding to and destroying such objects. Nevertheless, the president set the goal of achieving a higher level of readiness to protect the borders.
