Lukashenko congratulated children

At the Palace of the Republic, a charitable New Year's celebration called "Our Children" took place, where President Alexander Alexandrovich Lukashenko met with young Belarusians and offered them words of support. He noted that "in this hall are absolutely different children. The common notion – different children. Of course, different – including in their social standing," but emphasized that "today, more than ever, everyone has equal opportunities. Only one thing is needed – to work hard." The President also spoke about the importance of traditions: "If there are traditions, then there is a country. It means there is some uniqueness to this country. A very good tradition has long existed among us – during these pre-New Year holidays, to greet you, the little ones, adults, your teachers, caregivers, parents – everyone who has small children and is involved in raising children." He added: "It's a good tradition to congratulate our children, to visit children. Especially those who need it very, very much. Although there are no children in the country, there are no children in the world who do not need attention and gifts."
