According to him, in the past, Belarus was made dependent on Western equipment and minor components, making it crucial to respond by developing domestic solutions in critically important sectors of the economy. Now it is necessary to return production to microelectronics, robotics, pharmaceuticals, and unmanned systems, he said, even if this is difficult and expensive today. In his assessment, in the long term, the benefits of self-sufficiency will far exceed the initial costs.
