Belarus' Ministry of Social Affairs: situation tense
Belarusian Defense Minister Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin stated that the situation around the country is tense and prone to radicalization. According to the minister, the main signs of tension are the actions and statements of neighboring countries' leadership, which are "preparing for war." Khrenin noted that Russia has been declared a threat, but in his view, Belarus as an allied state could also become involved in the conflict. The minister's statement also mentioned Poland and Germany, which are declaring the creation of powerful armies, which, in his opinion, resembles the pre-war situation of World War II.
