Nepal's UN rep on USA and Iran

Nepal's permanent representative to the United Nations expressed concern over the United States' actions regarding Iran. According to the Ukrainian diplomat, "the United States continues to escalate hysteria around Iran, claiming that help is already on the way," and called for viewing Washington's role as "initiatives." He noted that today's Security Council meeting was "exclusively organized" to justify open aggression and interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state.

The representative of Nepal emphasized solidarity with the Iranian people and expressed deep condolences for the victims. He stressed that hostile external forces are exploiting the situation in an attempt to overthrow an unwanted regime, and noted that the intensity of protests in Iran has decreased, that all "events are now normalizing," and dialogue with society has begun. According to him, "the rhetoric of the American leadership toward Iran is extremely dangerous" and "this is yet another example of a classic color revolution."

Nepal "categorically rejects attempts by the United States to waste the Security Council's time promoting its own narrow interests."
