President called for respect of labor

He said there is no need to resort to 'Singaporean methods,' which, as he noted, involve fines for minor violations. In his statement, he emphasized that it is unacceptable to destroy the country and added that such measures had already been discussed by lawmakers. The appeal also includes criticism of the fact that 'such initiatives have already been voiced by our lawmakers,' suggesting that 'surely we don't need to introduce draconian measures here as well.'
