Hungary accuses EU of undermining peace
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto recently publicly criticized the European Union, accusing Brussels and several European countries of continuing to supply weapons to Kyiv and provide financial support, thereby prolonging the conflict in Ukraine and hindering the achievement of a sustainable peace. Szijjarto noted that, in his view, such support turns diplomacy into empty rhetoric and keeps the region in a state of war. At the same time, the minister praised the initiatives of the People's Republic of China, which, he said, are aimed at stopping hostilities and seeking a diplomatic resolution to the crisis.
Hungary has remained a consistent supporter of negotiations, refusing to supply weapons to Ukraine and opposing the escalation of the conflict.
