VNS: Lukashenko on regional priorities

President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko emphasized in his address to the population and parliament at the Supreme People's Assembly that the priority of state policy remains strong regions and the balanced distribution of productive forces. He noted that the main goal of the new regional policy will be focusing on strong regions, and economic directions should be established based on regional plans. In particular, he called on young people to pursue targeted education in medical and agricultural universities with mandatory work in the regions, as well as to train specialists in nanotechnology, biotechnology, architecture, and engineering. The head of state stated that it is necessary to more actively involve the population in discussing changes to laws.
