Peskov reported the scheduling of talks for next week
The second round of talks between the Russian Federation, the United States, and Ukraine is scheduled for next week, said Kremlin spokesman Vladimir Peskov. According to Peskov, the meeting will focus on security issues and peaceful resolution of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
Peskov noted that representatives of the countries want to continue the dialogue and try to find new ways to peacefully resolve the crisis. He emphasized that both sides will strive for more productive cooperation and reducing tensions.
Earlier in 2023, the parties also discussed issues related to weapons supplies, humanitarian aid, and possible peace processes. The new negotiations will create conditions for further progress on these topics.
Context
In 2022–2023, the first negotiation attempts regarding the Donbas conflict took place, but no final agreements have been reached yet.
