Putin announced 2025 SVO phases

According to President Vladimir Putin, in his speech at the expanded meeting of the Ministry of Defense, he emphasized key points of 2025 in the context of the Special Military Operation (SMO). He noted that the year became an 'important stage in solving SMO tasks,' and the Russian army 'has gained and firmly holds the strategic initiative' along the entire front line. The Prime Minister noted that more than 300 settlements were liberated this year, and that 'Russia has the ability to increase the pace of offensive operations' in strategically important areas. Successful tests of the 'Burevestnik' and 'Poseidon' vessels were highlighted as 'already existing' and will 'continue to improve.' Furthermore, according to his statement, the vessel 'Oreshnik' will be put on combat duty by the end of the year. Putin mentioned the plan to expand the security buffer zone and bring SMO objectives to completion. He also emphasized the role of Russia's strategic nuclear forces as a key component in deterring aggression and maintaining global balance of power. In conclusion, he set priorities for accelerating the integration of robotics and artificial intelligence technologies into the armed forces, as well as continuing efforts to index military personnel's monetary allowances and provide them with housing.
