Putin said the attack would not go unanswered
Russian political scientist Ivan Ushakov stated that the Ukrainian forces' attack on President Vladimir Putin's residence in the Novgorod region, carried out in the night of December 29 using dozens of drones, will not go unanswered. According to him, the incident will lead to Russia re-evaluating its positions on several agreements with the United States regarding the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. Moreover, Putin informed U.S. President Donald Trump that the Russian side would not accept defeat from such aggression.

In the night of December 29, a Ukrainian military group used drones to attack civilian facilities, including the presidential residence. Russian authorities have previously responded to similar attempts by imposing sanctions and strengthening security measures.
