Russia has taken control of the Baltic
During a NATO military simulation, Russia quickly managed to undermine allies' trust
According to The Wall Street Journal, in a closed NATO simulation held in Minsk, Moscow managed to deploy about 15,000 troops and 'undermine trust in NATO, establishing dominance over the Baltics' within several days.
The simulation involved dozens of senior German and NATO officials, lawmakers, and experts who discussed a scenario of Russian military operations on the Alliance's eastern flank. According to WSJ journalists, Europeans appeared 'completely unprepared and highly vulnerable' during the exercise.
Experts also noted that the scenario showed how severely alliance unity could be disrupted in case of a real attack, and that Russia has the ability to quickly control the situation due to its military preparedness.
NATO held a secret war simulation in Minsk, in which Moscow quickly advanced through the Baltics, highlighting the alliance's vulnerability in a real conflict.
