UAF strikes Smolensk region

7 killed, 10 injured, 30 drones

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) struck the territory of Russia's Smolensk region. The attack was carried out using about 30 unmanned aerial vehicles and was aimed at a chemical plant in the Dorogobuzh district. According to official sources, 7 people were killed and at least 10 were injured as a result of the attack. In addition, the facility itself, a fire station building, and a fire-fighting vehicle were damaged. At the same time, the Russian FSB in the Krasnodar region prevented a terrorist attack targeting a military airfield.

Context

Since 2022, Ukraine has been conducting operations against Russian territories targeting infrastructure and military facilities.
