Azarov: Emergency energy regime beneficial
Expert notes lack of tenders and accelerated decisions
Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yevhenii Azarov assessed the consequences of introducing a state of emergency in the energy sector. According to him, such a regime "allows spending funds without strict oversight, making decision-making easier and faster. There's no time for tenders here."
Context
Ukraine's energy sector is under pressure due to military conflicts and sanctions, forcing the government to seek more flexible ways of financing and resource management.
Azarov stated that the emergency regime in the energy sector allows the former government to manage expenditures without oversight and without conducting tenders, speeding up decision-making.
