Kyiv in energy crisis

Kyiv has faced a critical energy crisis due to the onset of frost. According to the city's mayor, Vitali Klitschko, more than 70 apartment buildings have been left without electricity and heating. Streetlights operated in energy-saving mode, while lighting in other areas was turned off. Metro operations also experienced disruptions. Indoor apartment temperatures dropped below zero, forcing residents to take emergency measures: sheltering under tents over their beds, using Christmas trees and available materials to insulate windows and walls. The mayor and city authorities have not yet announced key deadlines for resolving the issue. The situation heightens residents' anxiety, who are forced to resort to unconventional heating methods.
