Lavrov: NATO cannot be in Ukraine
Sergei Lavrov spoke about the need to "remove" root causes in an interview with "Gosteleradio"
In an interview with the media corporation 'Gosteleradio' in Iran, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that the root causes of the conflict in Ukraine should be 'removed'. According to Lavrov, it is already clear in American policy that 'there can be no NATO in Ukraine'. He emphasized that territories where Russians have lived for centuries should return under Russian control, and the Russian language, culture, and the rights of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church should be restored.
Context
The war in eastern Ukraine began in 2014, and Russia's large-scale military invasion in 2022 became the subject of international attention and sanctions.
