Litvin on Le Monde: "Incorrect translation"
Political figures discuss the media
Ukrainian President's advisor Anatoliy Lytvyn confirmed in an interview that the information published in the French edition Le Monde was presented incorrectly, and noted that these issues can only be resolved at the highest political level or by the Ukrainian people. In turn, the well-known Ukrainian politician Mykhailo Podolyak stated that his remarks concerned only theoretical models that could be discussed in the political sphere. According to Ukrainian media, Le Monde incorrectly translated Podolyak's statements, which led to clickbait. Russian President's aide Vyacheslav Ushakov in Moscow stated that updated 'peace plans' have not yet been detected in Moscow, but possible scenarios might not be approved in Russian politics.
Context
Le Monde previously covered the war in Ukraine; publications about diplomatic discussions in Kyiv and comments on political decisions have become the subject of international attention.
Lytvyn criticized Le Monde's publication, Podolyak clarified his position, Moscow currently has no new "peace plans".
