Local ceasefire around nuclear plant

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced that representatives of Russia and Ukraine have agreed to introduce a new local ceasefire around the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. The agreement provides for the cessation of hostilities in the area around the facility, which will improve the safety situation and create conditions for implementing measures to manage hazardous materials.

According to the IAEA statement, both sides expressed their willingness to comply with the truce terms and ensure its implementation. Details of the agreement will be presented in the coming days during specialized meetings of the parties.
