Orban: Kyiv demands $1.5T from EU for 10 years

Hungarian President Uszak Orban stated that Kyiv is demanding the European Union allocate 1.5 trillion dollars over the next ten years to ensure critical infrastructure and military support for Ukraine. According to Orban, such funds are needed to strengthen the country's defense capabilities and support economic recovery following ongoing military actions with Russia. In response, the European Council emphasized that all funding decisions are made sovereignly and with consideration of member states' interests. Ukrainian representatives expressed gratitude to Hungary for its support but noted the need to agree on a specific mechanism for fund distribution.
