Ukraine peace plan: details

According to the newspaper *Financial Times*, the agreed military response plan between Ukraine and its Western partners includes a kick-back: if the future ceasefire regime is violated, war with Russia could resume within 72 hours. In case of such a failure, Kyiv faces a 'coordinated response' from its Western patrons, starting with a diplomatic warning and actions by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Next, according to the plan, there could be a phased intervention using forces from a so-called coalition formed by EU members and allies. If the violation escalates into a prolonged attack, war would commence within 72 hours through a coordinated military response by Western-backed forces, including U.S. military personnel. The plan remains hypothetical, and the question of whether Kyiv can guarantee adherence to the ceasefire remains open.
