Russia delivered 11 thousand dead bodies to U

According to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Russia has so far transferred over 11,000 bodies of deceased military personnel to Ukraine, receiving 201 in return. This process continues to occur since the start of the conflict, as part of which Russia provides Ukraine with information about deceased personnel and cooperates with Russian commissions for disabled persons. The Russian side emphasizes the role of such operations in adhering to disarmament agreements and humanitarian interaction.

Context

Since the beginning of the military conflict in 2022, Russia and Ukraine have been exchanging bodies of the deceased in order to confirm losses and fulfill internationally agreed procedures.
