Russia to continue Ukraine talks with US

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Peskov announced that Moscow will continue the negotiation process on Ukraine but will conduct it with the Americans. According to Peskov, Russia intends to resume dialogue within the framework of international efforts to stabilize the situation. The minister noted that Russia's official position provides for openness to dialogue with the United States, while maintaining its commitment to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.

In Minsk, possibilities for further cooperation in accordance with the principles of international law were discussed.

Context

Negotiations were previously held within the framework of the Minsk agreements (2015–2017), after which the situation in Donbas escalated.
