US and EU agree on Ukraine protection plan
The plan provides for reducing the Ukrainian armed forces and deploying European troops
The US and the European Union have agreed on a security assurance plan for Ukraine. Two documents state that the main condition is reducing the number of Ukrainian armed forces to 800,000 personnel in peacetime. The plan provides for strengthening the Ukrainian army with support from the EU and the US, and European countries' troops will be stationed in the west of the country, away from the Russian border.
